Our Team
Andrew Nguyen, PhD is the co-founder and Chief Technology & Science Officer of Neatly Health, with more than a decade of experience at the intersection of healthcare data, AI, and medical informatics.
He holds a PhD in Biological and Medical Informatics from the University of California, San Francisco and is a Fellow of the American Medical Informatics Association.
Andrew's career spans leadership roles in biopharma, digital health, and academia. He served as Global Section Head of Medical Informatics & Data Engineering at Roche/Genentech, building the company's first dedicated medical informatics team and leading real-world data strategies across the enterprise. At Best Buy Health, he was Senior Director and Head of Data & AI, where he architected enterprise-wide AI strategy and scaled AI/ML development by 20x. Prior to this, he served as Chair of the Department of Health Professions at the University of San Francisco, where he was a tenured professor and director of the MS in Health Informatics program. His approach to taming healthcare's data complexity is detailed in his book, Hands-On Healthcare Data (O'Reilly, 2022).
Andrew founded Neatly because he believes healthcare has lost sight of patients. Despite endless talk about "patient-centered care," the industry has become obsessed with system efficiency, paying lip service to outcomes while losing the humanity at healthcare's core. He saw AI as an opportunity to level the playing field, giving patients the tools and knowledge to make the healthcare system work for them. Neatly exists to help patients reclaim agency over their own care.
For over 20 years, Andrew has served as an Emergency Medical Technician and Search and Rescue volunteer, guided by a simple motto: "So others may live." Whether responding to emergencies in the field or building healthcare tools, his work is driven by a fundamental duty to help people when they need it most.
Larry Cordisco is the co-founder and CEO of Neatly Health, bringing more than two decades of experience as a professional investor with deep expertise in healthcare and life sciences.
He holds an MBA from Columbia Business School, an MPP from Georgetown University, and a BA in Political Science from UC Santa Barbara.
Larry's career centers on healthcare investing at the highest level. As Portfolio Manager at Meridian Contrarian Fund, he co-managed a $700M equity fund and served as primary analyst for healthcare and life sciences, developing expertise across oncology, immunotherapy, cell therapy, autoimmune conditions, diagnostics, devices, and pharmaceuticals. The fund earned numerous recognitions including ranking #2 on Forbes Magazine's Mutual Funds Honor Roll, top performer in its category by MarketWatch, and the Lipper Award for consistent investment performance. He later served as Co-Chief Investment Officer at Osterweis Capital Management, overseeing $1B+ in assets.
Larry founded Neatly because he saw firsthand how the healthcare system fails patients. While helping his wife navigate three cancer diagnoses and his father through pancreatic cancer, he discovered that achieving good outcomes felt like a crapshoot, dependent on which doctor you saw and whether you knew the right questions to ask. The system was built for providers, not for everyday patients without medical expertise. His investment career had shown him the inefficiencies from the outside; his family's experience revealed the human cost. Neatly exists to give patients the knowledge and tools to advocate effectively for themselves.
Outside of work, Larry is an avid golfer and has volunteered as a puppy raiser for Guide Dogs for the Blind for over 10 years. The work has shown him the powerful bonds between humans and dogs, while also reminding him daily just how much fur Labrador Retrievers shed.
